Beef Cornerstone Breeding Club<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Beef Cornerstone facilitates the testing of Genus ABS BeefInFocus sires through our Beef Calving Survey Programme in the UK. This programme enables us to provide reliable proven sires that meet our customers\u2019 needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each year we test in the region of 20 young beef sires, and this number continues to grow annually. We currently have around 400 customers actively testing our young beef sires in Great Britain, Northern Ireland and Italy, keen to be first to access the genetics of the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most beef sires tested through the Beef Calving Survey programme have been sourced from herds that we have developed relationships with over many years. Alongside this, in 2015 we created our own British Blue breeding programme within NuEra Genetics, to further drive genetic progress with data driven breeding decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beef Sires Currently on Survey<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Within our beef calving survey, between 10 and 20 young beef bulls are tested every year throughout the UK across dairy cows. This allows Genus ABS to boast one of the most comprehensive young beef bull progeny test programmes in today\u2019s market place. Emphasis is placed stringently on the use of the young beef bulls onto dairy cows so as to give as true a representation of the young bulls potential for Calving Ease, Gestation Length, Calf Quality and suitability for use on heifers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Young beef bulls are selected from the main breeds used in the UK. This provides much choice and variety for all our farmers. Below you can find a list of bulls currently \u2018Under Survey\u2019, simply click on the bull of your choice for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NuEra Sires<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

These sires are pedigree Angus and British Blue sires registered with the UK Aberdeen Angus Cattle Society and British Blue Cattle Society respectively. However, these sires should be used for commercial use only as progeny will not be accepted for registration in the respective breed society Herd Book. Please record the sire ID on passports to qualify for Angus progeny schemes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
