The name says it all: ABS Global’s Real World Data\u00ae (RWD\u2122) index represents real results from real dairy producers. Introduced in 2008, RWD was developed to help our customers use data being collected through new genetic selection tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The RWD database contains more than 30 million cow records sourced from more than 2,000 herds located in key dairy markets throughout the world, and it continues to grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ABS Research & Development team uses proprietary data from its Real Word Data database in creating innovative genetic selection tools. The first tool, ABS RWD Sire Fertility index was launched in 2012, providing ABS customers with an easy-to-use ranking of fertility for both conventional and sorted genetics for ABS sires. TransitionRight\u00ae Genetics was introduced in 2015 with a simple-to-understand economic ranking of ABS sires that helps prevent multiple, post-calving metabolic disorders that occur during the transition cow period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ABS will continue to invest in developing innovative and effective genetic selection tools from our proprietary RWD database to help our customers improve their profitability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since ABS Real World Data evaluations are updated monthly, the RWD genetic selection tools used by ABS customers always remain up-to-date resulting in more timely and accurate genetic selections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
